Structured Web 1.0

April 17, 2025

After over two years in development, we are excited to announce that Structured Web 1.0 is now available. This means that Structured Web is no longer a beta feature. 🎉

To give the work behind Structured Web the attention it deserves, today we look back on the past two years and share a preview of the features coming next to Structured Web.

Why Structured Web?

Originally launched as an iOS-only app, we quickly started getting requests from non-Apple users who wanted to use Structured on their own devices. While we were already working on our Android version, we also wanted to bring Structured to the big screen. Of course, we already have a Mac app, but it isn’t accessible for everyone. So, instead of creating a Windows app, building a planning tool accessible from any web browser seemed like the easiest path.

A Bumpy Road

We are not going to lie, Structured Web has been one of our most challenging and complex projects so far. Over the past few years, many people have contributed to shaping it into what it is today. In the early stages, not much seemed to work, and the design did not align with our overall identity. It took time and persistence before we finally made significant progress.

Last summer, a new web developer and our UX designer finally made it happen. They quickly managed to tie up the loose ends, getting us to a point where we could release our first beta version in August, much to the delight of our eager users.

Seamless Sync

Shortly after the beta release, we enabled Structured Web to sync with other devices in the Structured ecosystem. When logging in to Structured Web, a Structured Cloud account is automatically created. The Structured Cloud sync enables you to seamlessly share your calendar events, tasks and to-dos across Structured Web, Apple, and Android devices.

This was not only a big step for Structured Web but also for Structured as a whole. Your schedule is now always available, on any device, updating in real time.

Web Payments

To allow Structured Web users to access Structured Pro features, we’ve introduced web payments. Unlike the app stores, the web payment provider offers a wide range of payment options.

Like all other Structured Pro purchases and subscriptions, web payments can be shared across devices, including iOS and Android. All that’s needed is to sync the devices via Structured Cloud. You can learn more about how to set this up here.

New Onboarding

Another important step was integrating a thoughtfully designed onboarding experience, as it shapes the first impression of Structured’s functionality. The onboarding is a short tutorial that explains the most important features of Structured.

We optimized the onboarding based on user feedback to deliver the best possible first impression and user experience. Combined with handcrafted illustrations that highlight key features, it instantly inspires you to get structured.

Structured Web 1.0

While the beta version laid the groundwork, our UX designer and web developer have spent the past few months refining and polishing Structured Web — and now, we're proud to introduce Structured Web 1.0. A key part of this update was a complete redesign of the settings and the addition of keyboard shortcuts to make navigation smoother and more intuitive.

Previously, the settings were fairly basic, with limited customization options. The new design is clean, consistent with our other Structured apps, and gives you more control. Whether you want to change the app’s color, set the first day of the week, or toggle between light and dark mode, it’s now easier than ever.

Planning ahead requires the flexibility to easily switch between days, weeks, and months. To make this easier, we’ve introduced a set of keyboard shortcuts to help you navigate the calendar more quickly. Additionally, we’ve added keyboard shortcuts to streamline the task creation process, making it faster and more convenient. Just hit the Q button on your Structured Web interface to check out all the keyboard shortcuts at a glance.

What’s Next?

Now that Structured Web is no longer a beta feature, we’re just getting started. Our long-term goal is to bring all iOS features to Structured Web and even launch Structured Web exclusive features, making it the best web-based daily planner.

The next major feature will be the weekly and monthly view, making it even easier to plan ahead. But that’s just the beginning — many more exciting features are lined up in our timeline. Be sure to check out our Roadmap to stay updated on what’s coming and what we’re already working on.
